Here we have an incredible Eshenbaugh J5 5 String Bass from Mark Eshenbaugh. He used to work with Carl Thompson and it shows in his designs. There is only good things to say about any of his or Carls creations. By the way the Headstock adds to the lows and sustain according to Mark. I can tell you this bass sounds amazing. I am very impressed with the level of craftmanship on this Bass. Not only is it stunning to look at but it backs it up with a playability and feel second to none, and I mean none. This Bass is as good as it gets. The Bartolini's and the Aquilar 3 band preamp with mid switch guarantee any sound you need for all styles of music. Brass nut and Hipshot bridge and tuners maintain the intonation department. Nice touch on the matching wood rear control cover that is held on with strong magnets so changing the 9 volt battery is as easy as it gets. The beautiful Walnut is accented with the Maple and the Maple is accented with the Walnut to make for some interesting Body and Neck Laminations. I particularly like the detail with the dark accent lamination between all of the body and neck components. Once again this Bass exudes detail with taste. This is one unique But functionality merges with beauty to make this a Dream Bass any Bass Player would be proud to own and play. Offers will be considered!
