New Carvin Icon 5 string Bass has just arrived and it is a pleasure to experience the workmanship of the Carvin guitar Company. Once again I am left with the feeling that they build one of the highest quality instruments you could find at any price. I dont like to use the word perfection, but everyone of the Carvin Basses that I have owned has exhibited a build quality level that is outstanding. The Icon featured here is a bass that was won in a contest and I bought it from the winner. It is brand new and went from the case to my display room and then to a stand. It has a really beautiful Quilted Maple Top with the great sounding Alder Body. The neck is an easy to play 34 inch scale with an Ebony fingerboard and Maple neck through body. It has the new Carvin soapbar pickups and 18 volt electronics with sweepable mid range that can offer a tone for any musical situation. This bass speaks loud and clear and is a killer value.
