2009 FENDER "ROAD WORN" JAZZ BASS THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST FEELING AND SOUNDING FENDERS I HAVE PLAYED IN A LONG TIME. There are Basses that do the job well and some do the job with a seamlessness that is magic. This example of the new Road Worn Series from Fender is a killer bass!!! Relic builders beware this is a great Bass and for the money it is a home run! I had to try one out so as soon as it arrived my buddies down at Manahawkin Music in Manahawkin, NJ called me the minute it got there. Within hours I had it in my hands and have not put it down for two days. I can't get over how Fender has nailed it with this one. It instantly feels like my old 60'S Jazz Basses with its highly resonant Alder body and the correct sound from the pickups. Plus it is light in weight! I hear Fender is really choosing select wood for the bodies and it shows or should I say sound, like the are doing a great job. I do not like 11 or 12 pound Fender Jazz Basses no matter what they sound like. That is to much Bass around my neck for long sets. Acoustically this bass sings! When plugged in get ready for some real fun. It is like your highschool sweetheart came to visit you after 40 years and still loves you, and best of all you still love her too! All I can say is you need to get one of these no matter how many Basses you have. For me I had to be the first one on my block to have one and I am loving it. If you want a confirmed hand picked one then let me know and I might let you have this one. Until then I am playing it!
